Luongo could change all that with a Gold medal win but without a Gold (or Silver with a good performance) he hasn't done anything in his career. Luongo is a top goaltender in the NHL, just hasn't proved it outside a few playoff births.

Ask any Canucks fan if Luongo is the reason they got booted from the playoffs against Anaheim. The guy won the Dallas series and stood on his head against the Ducks.
By that logic, isn't Kipper getting pulled in game 7 against the Sharks 2 years ago the reason they got booted from the playoffs? No, of course not. It's the teams fault, not his.
Kipper has definitely proven more than Luongo has in his career. But he's not without his share of poor showings in important games.
