And yet by Sunday night, unless there's massive failures all around, Canada will be 1st in the gold medal count and could actually challenge for the most golds won at the Winter Olympics (13 by Norway in Salt Lake) if things really fall into place.
We might be lagging behind in the total medal count, but winning the most golds is definitely not worth brushing aside. Especially considering the major criticism is that Canadian athletes are happy with 2nd place.
