I agree with everything but the last part. Well I maybe agree to a certain extent, but both governments have their share of problems. Both countries have their divides which makes certain things tough.
I think the U.S.'s problems are more known due to simply the way media currently works, but the sponsorship scandal is definitely one issue that comes to mind when I think of poorly run gov't.
I've lived in both countries, and really to me choosing where to live comes down to hot weather vs. free health care.
