That's cuz it was funny (no offense EB)....simply because the rest of your post was so sincere.
In all seriousness I got my cat Mandy from StreetCats. She was rescued from the Stampede. Each year after the Stampede is over hundreds of street cards gather in the grounds because of all the food around. Anyhoo she had a broken leg and half an ear when they rescued her. But I'll tell you - she is the best can I've ever had. Doesn't beg, doesn't scratch. Just grateful to have a home and isn't going to do anything to fata it up.
