They don't settle for mediocrity, they want to win everything at the Olympics, all the time. I am not surprised that the Chinese national team is based in Leduc, and are 100% dedicated to winning and being the best.
Must be nice to have funding at any cost to do that. I wonder what the general population thinks about that, given the social disparities they face at home. Me thinks they're okay with it, as long as they continue to win and become the best. Sometimes its scary to see how much China wants to stick it to the rest of the world in terms of being the best.

Like their general population has a choice of how the government spends their money. Chinese government does as they please and the people accept it or who knows what happens to them.
