Fernie is great in the summer time. There are plenty of things to do. A friend of mine has a condo there that he rents out. It might be too small for you, since it only has master bedroom, a spare room (with two twin beds) and a pull out couch. That sleeps 6 comfortably. If you want his contact info, let me know.
