From everything I've heard the buzz in Vancouver is outstanding, with only a few peaceful protests around the city(not including the foreign protest yesterday). People are clearly blowing things out of proportion when we should be enjoying the Olympics being hosted on our own turf.

The buzz here has been outstanding. People having fun throughout the city, Canada jerseys everywhere. I personally haven't even seen any protesting where I have been going. Any big even like this will draw its share of morons. Even the Stampede brings some protesting to it (PETA, etc).
But the small minded will continue to display their hate for Vancouver just because they want to. Saying Vancouver is full of left wing rioting hippies is as true as saying Calgary is full of racist redneck cowboys. Just overly simplistic and weak stereotypes.
