I will not be watching the opening ceremonies out of respect to the luger who died. The "show must go on" is not an all-encompasing thing. It should have been post-poned for one evening, and without at least tribute and a moment of silence as a start for the fallen athlete, the IOC will look like heartless pigs by the time these games are done.

Dude - did they even cancel the Daytona 500 when Dale Earnhardt died? That guy was more popular than the President in some states and they finished the race.
How - logistically how could they possibly postpone/cancel a show the magnitude of the Opening Ceremonies?? The IOC would get vaporized by all the major world networks
