Decaf coffee at many places likely sits all day because it is not ordered nearly as much as caffeinated. Most cafes/coffee shops will change out their coffee every couple hours regardless of how much is left... I am guessing this particular Timmy's was not doing that, leaving it to burn.
I will drink decaf if I want to get a coffee at night. A Timmy's decaf, if made properly, tastes virtually the same as a regular imo.
