While that is more convienient than the old packaging, the new Heinz packaging beats that hands down.
I never really messed with kethcup packaging before, but will probably now (or soon?) because I would fall under the "dip" category.
I think the reason they never went in the direction that they have in Australia is because the added cost wasn't deemed worthy of the added benefit of easier squeezing of the ketchup.
Basically these new packages are just like they serve BBQ and sweet & sour sauce in, with the added benefit of also being able to squeeze the sauce out if you prefer.
