New Orleans has a large black population, but are still a minority. However, it does show the economic imbalance. Most of the white families GOT THE HELL AWAY in their nice fancy cars. So a lot of the people that are left are black. But as you can see by the picture above, there is a complete mix of races.
As for the looters being black, a friend of mine told me today that he was watching a white woman carrying bottled water, bread and various other necessities out of a convenience store and they were talking about how desperate the situation was and how people who otherwise wouldn't break into stores and steal things are forced into that situation. These poor people. Then five minutes later on another channel, they have a black guy leaving THE EXACT SAME STORE, taking similar items, and they were saying how the city had turned into animals. These horrible people.
Given the tragedy, this is probably an assinine question - but where do the Saints play on the 18th?
