After hearing how people have supposedly stopped coming to Alberta because our economy is so terrible and are now flocking to Saskatchewan, I found it curious that the numbers speak to a completely different reality.

Inter provincal migration for Calgary is 8715 and Edmonton is 5482. In Saskatoon it is 929 and Regina 445. Even taking into account the population difference of the Alberta cities to the Saskatchewan cities, it is clear that far more Canadians are moving to the urban areas of Alberta than the urban areas of Saskatchewan. Perhaps these are some of the first years that the Saskatchewan cities haven't had negative inter-provincal migration and Saskatchewanites had to overstate the situation.
