The Flames have acquired veteran center Doug Weight from the Islanders for winger Ryan Jones. The Islanders will also receive a mid round pick while the Flames get some cash to help pay Weight's salary.

Weight will fill in on the 2nd line while Robert Lang is out and will either stay on the 2nd line or move down to the 3rd line once Lang returns. Hopefully this gives us enough depth to hold down this playoff spot.
