I have never worked for minimum wage in my life. The way I figure it is if your gonna put in the hours anyways, you might as well get payed as much as you can.

Although, back in 2000, I worked at for a Truss Company and sweated like a dog for them part time for 8.50/hr. Pretty hilarious.

I actually saw the foreman fire someone.

Here is the story.

Basically buddy doesnt show up for two days and doesnt phone in at all. On the third day he comes in and starts to work like nothing has happened. The foreman walks out into his area outside, and asks him why he didnt come into work for the past two days. He reply's "I was feeling a bit ill and didnt feel like coming in". The foreman says "OK" and procedes to walk back to the door to enter the shop. The worker turns to his fellow comrade and says under his breath, "I can't believe I got away with that!". The foreman then proceeded to TURN around, while whipping out the hand "guns" and yells, "YOUR FIRED". I have to say that was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life at that time.
