I don't know any crazy coffee house bean place and I'm not anal enough about my coffee to buy it fresh or anything like that. Although, that star bucks stuff is meh to me now. But going from Nabobs to Starbucks was an eye opener.
I switched recently to starbucks to those gourmet coffee manual pull down things and I think it tastes much better. Star bucks has this heavy flavor that I don't enjoy that much. I just bought a bag of kicking horse coffee (3 sisters) and I love this way more than anything I've tried. It's light, got flavor and packs a punch.
When I go down to Calgary I'll be sure to try out those gourmet coffee shops. And perhaps invest in a burr blender or whatever those are.
Does the type of coffee maker really make a difference for a normal coffee?
