Can someone explain how Jacob's nemesis was able to assume the image of Dr. Christian Sheppard, when his body was not even on the original Oceanic flight that crashed? The storyline so far suggests that the nemesis (and maybe Jacob) can assume the likeness of dead people on the island. But if Dr. Sheppard's body was never on the island, how could it be mimicked?
