I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the
Hyundai Santa Fe ... or even the
Kia Borrego (if the extra horses / beefy towing capacity are important considerations). Both brands are on the rise. Both vehicles get good ratings. They may not be gorgeous, but they're both solid family SUVs for the money.
Thought I should throw it into the mix, at least.
