Kindle is out because of the lack of native support for non-DRM formats, and the qwerty keyboard on the bottom is crap as far as I'm concerned. I don't want to see that on my device.

The nook I haven't looked at too much, but how much is it in comparison to the Sony and is it available in Canada?

I'm really hoping to find someone who reviews the iPad in relation and to know if you can load PDF/ePub/etc on the device or if the only way to load the files is via the iBook Store. The backlighting concerns me as well..
