How often do you clean your coffee maker? What do you use? CLR, vinegar, soapy water? My parent are Brits so I can make a MEAN cup of tea but coffee is not my forte.

For me I use about 2 large table spoon of coffee beans and then grind it up. I've noticed that filtered water tastes a bit better than tap... but am generally too lazy to.
A clean coffee maker... hmmm once every half year maybe? I dump alot of water and a little bit of vinegar and then just use straight up water to get rid of the sour taste.
Or you can use a Bodum/French Press. Dump some ground coffee beans and some hot water. Usually I think this is the preferred method? for a strong cup of coffee but the clean up for me is a pain.
