So today was not good. A brief overview of my school schedule is required to understand this story. Tuesdays and Thursdays I go to school from 11-12:30, and on Tuesdays only, I have another night class from 6-9pm. Wednesdays I have one class from 6-9pm as well, but that's kind of irrelevant. The reason I have such a big gap from my first class to last on Tuesdays is because I dropped a class that I thought I originally wanted. I replaced it with another class, however, that class does not start until September 27th, so for a month or so I figured I could deal with driving to the campus, then driving home to get some things done for a few hours, before driving back for my night class. No big deal, driving out there twice in one day once a week won't kill me.
Today I go to school like any other day, 11-12:30. It takes me a half hour to get out there, but luckily I start late so I don't have to worry about the rush hour traffic in the morning. Anyway, I go home and hang out for a few hours, have lunch, do some things, etc. 5 o'clock rolls around and I leave to go get some fast food before I go to class. I spend $6 at Checkers (local burger chain, nothing special) and then head off to class, another 30 minutes each way. I get there and find out night classes are closed today.....thanks for telling me! The reason for the closings was due to Hurricane Katrina. Apparently my school turned off its lights and air conditioning in an effort to save energy. Remember, I love in Florida, not Louisianna/Missisippi, so this is somewhat of a shock to me. Needless to say, I was quite passed that I drove out there another 30 minutes, wasted gas whcih is outrageously expensive, as well as time and of course money on food.
As I'm driving home, it's 6pm and I fight the rush hour traffic back home for pretty much no reason. I'm mad, and I am just waiting in my car. I pass an intersection, and I get to a road I pass everyday, it merges into one lane. Traffic is stopped there, and at the merge me and the car behind me pull into the center so other cars can't pull a fast one and pass us and get ahead. Well, this Blue Ford Explorer comes barrelling down and squeaks RIGHT in front of my car. Then as traffic continues to move down the merging lane, this jerkoff won't let me and the car in front of me merge. The SUV was practically hitting both my car and the one in front, being a complete jackass. I was in no mood to be messed around with, so I wrote down this ******'s license plate. Oddly enough he/she was from Missouri.
Anyhow, if you read that far, the point of the thread is that I want to look up and find a way to have a car impounded by reporting the license plate number. I've seen people do it, saying the car was illegally parked somewhere, or what have you.
So, if you've ever done this before, or know of a way I can get back at this schmuck, please fire away!
