Keeping Conroy over Boyd or Moss is just a way of keeping this team stunted, imo. I'm not a huge Moss fan, but at least keep Boyd especially since he is playing better this year and has no tangible value as a player driving trades.
Also, I'm quite curious how strongly we're going to want to shoe-horn players like Stajan into this line-up because it has consequences for guys like Backlund.

This is Connie's last year and trading him would have a negative impact on the dressing room. Also, we're not going to get anything in return - even if all we want is a draft pick. Moss and Boyd, in my opinion, have plateaued in Calgary. They will at least net us a couple 2nd or 3rd round picks.
We've just traded away a huge building block, and our cupboards are relatively bare of any big name future coming down the pipe. We need picks, and the higher the better.
