Well, the team is more balanced for the short term, assuming these guys step in and do more (remember, we've had a chance in all 9 losses, other then SJ, to tie or win the game with one shot in the 3rd) then the guys they're likely to be replacing, which considering that has been little to none, it can only get better.
Past this year, as is, no, the team is not better right now. But again, with the cap space that this has afforded, certianly come the offseason, it allows the flexiblity to address the needs, and not try and make do with counting on the Moss' of the roster to pull through with hopefully secondary scoring.
