As far as fatalaties go, I have heard numbers in the 50's in Biloxi. Haven't heard about the number in Gulf Port or New Orleans.

Some structural damage:
The bridge from Chalmette to Slidell (eastern part of NO), a 7 mile concrete span over Lake Ponchatrain has apparently been wiped out.
I beleive every parish east New Orleans has been completely submerged. I haven't heard anything about parish's west of New Orleans.

As I get updates from my friend, I will be sure to post them.
