I still can't believe that Sutter traded Dion.

I don't think the return was fair and that at minimum, a 1st round pick should have been coming back, however, who knows what offers Sutter was getting.

I agree that it helps the Flames short term with the increased scoring threats as scoring has been this teams major struggle. With the emergence of Giordano (looking like the best dman this year) with Bouwmeester, made Dion expendable (especially since he was the only core player without a NMC).

I have a feeling that somehow Dion will get his head on straight and become more like Pronger and less like McCabe in years to come and it will go down as a pretty bad trade for the Flames IMO.
