I hope you're talking about the fan base as a whole? I've never talked about how awesome or how terrible Phaneuf is.
I'm thinking salary, potential to sign free agent players, money tied up in a few players, and goals from our forwards this deal isn't all that bad.
Lots of variables that I'm thinking about rather than Phanuef is gone, he sucks now.
