At first I had that just got kicked in the balls so hard that your stomach hurts feeling when I heard about this trade, and really it hasn't went away.
The Flames are a deeper team then they were yesterday, but we will miss the game breaking talent that Dion brought to this team.
That being said it has been two seasons now that we have been trying to make him more defensively responsible and it just hasn't happened. Maybe what hurts the most about this trade is that in the last five games it is probably the best he has looked in the last two seasons.
I still think that Sutter should have been able to get a lot more for Dion and that he should have waited till the offseason to make such a major move.
However even though Dion said he did not ask for a trade, to me something more has to be going on for 1)Sutter to even consider trading Dion, 2) Sutter making such a rash trade when he could have waited and had two weeks during the Olympic break to work out a deal.
I was always against all the Dion being a so called cancer rumors but to me there is something more to this deal and hopefully we find out what the hell Sutter was thinking when he made the deal.
All that said Go Flames Go, and we will miss you Dion please don't make this trade look too horrible in the long run.
