Holy overreact batman! The Flames gave up the best player but unlike the Gilmour trade they got a damn nice return that addresses the needs of this team. If Sutter can get Stajan inked then IMO he just fleeced Brian Burke. Stajan is going to thrive playing with Iginla and is a much better player then what he has shown in TO because he has never had decent line mates there. He is the playmaker we have missed and is good in the face off circle.
Hagman fits this team perfectly, a guy who is signed at a great contract for what he brings, 20+ goals and solid in his own end. Ian White is Mark Giordano version 2. He is a bit small but does not play small and can QB a PP. Mayers and Sjorstrom are a wash and you can let Mayers go at the end of the year. Dion Phaneuf was my favorite Flame but I really like this trade and I think this will get us back on track to being a contender.
