I wouldn’t say Emelianenko looked in rough shape at all, it was Filipovic that looked like a beaten man and Fedor showed very little sign of fatigue or give. He was in a hell of a lot better shape then Filipovic. I’ll take a bloddy nose and a black eye any day over the beating Filipovic received, regardless Fedor absolutely dominated that match and all that hype that was here pn the old forum about how Filipovic would knock out Fedor (who most posters had no clue who he was) was just that talk. He has a punchers chance, and an amazing puchers chance at that, but as proven Emelianenko is by far the superior fighter.

I was worried about rust showing on the champ and was afraid that an accurate striker could dethrone him, as didn’t get to see Bushido 6 so I wasn’t too sure if that was the case.

I heard, think it was Bas Rutten that said it, that Yoshida will be stepping up from the 205 and I would assume to see a Yoshida vs. Filipovic match up, then if Filipovic can avenge his loss to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira he should be looking at another chance at Emelianenko.

If they hold another Heavyweight Grandprix next year then maybe this can speed up things.
