The team is already concerned about it's corner defence using guys like Snyder and Lind and than factor in Wallace not really having a position to play either. So by adding guys like Damon and or Delgado I don't know if it really accomplishes anything. Plus Wells should be playing left field too given his range and arm.

From what I read AA spoke to Damon to see if he could sign him at a cheap rate. Jays need a lead-off hitter I am sure AA is looking to find a player that can fill that need. However there is no way Damon will sign with the Jays
As for Delgado, Gaston is rumoured to be pushing really hard to have him signed. Delgado would only act as the DH. As I am betting Wallace will be the every day 1st Baseman and Overbay will be traded.
I would also bet, there is no way Delagado will sign with the Jays. Lind will be the DH once again and play some time in the Field.
