Home machines have all been XPS or Dimension, business machines were all Optiplex with a couple of the new Vostro models in recent years. The two servers I've bought were from the server line (can't remember the name off hand), but both were in the $2500 range (not $30000 enterprise stuff).
Since the switch to India, I've never been offered an option for US support. Dell used to be the best company for support, back in the day. In fact, it was one of their biggest selling points.
I was a Dell fanboy long before I ever became a Mac fanboy.
