Assuming you have the "evidence", it looks like a very straightforward small claims case. It will cost you $100 to file the claim, but you will be able to recoup that cost. Make sure you do a land title search and a corporate search (via a registry) to find out who actually owns the land/operates the golf course. The amount involved is too small to hire a lawyer, but I would suggest calling the U of C Law School Student Legal Assistance at 220-6637 - law students will handle this for you for $25 just to get some experience...
