From those live shots on CNN it does still look like there is traffic on the Highways out of NOLA. Cant be many worse places to be in a Cat 5 Hurricane then in a friggin car on the Highway.

That's horrible advice actually. The meteorologists around here are constantly reminding people NOT to do that. The best place if you're stuck outside is in the lowest ditch you can find or inside a culvert.
Those bridges/overpasses actually can produce an increased force.
