First you complain that people shouldn't drive diesels because they are weak, or whatever your reasoning was, and now you complain that they are too performance oriented for you, because you don't need race car performance.
There are lots of people that crave performance with fuel economy, and modern diesels provide that. Look at the numbers the BMW 335d is putting down. It's an impressive car with great fuel economy.
The 3.2 FSI engine was so useless they have dropped it from their lineup. The 2.0T made it redundant. FSI engines are having massive problems with carbon build up.
