Saw it last night with my husband and girls. It was incredible. There was a lady in front of us who brought a small and child and should not have - even that couldn't wreck the experience.
At the very beginning, I was a little concerned because the 3D was a little hard to adjust to and I thought I might end up with a headache, but soon (about 3 minutes, I think), I was immersed in Pandora and the incredible world that was unfolding around me. I even tried to brush away a burning ember, much to my delight.
My husband loves movies, but he has never sat through an entire film without getting up at least once for a stretch and a cigarette, and even he was riveted to his seat.
I even sat and watched the credits roll instead of leaping up and heading to the car for the long drive home.
And the theatre was still sold out. I bought my tickets online at about 4:30 for the 8pm show. Had to hunt around for a 3D theatre that wasn't sold out at/around that time slot.
I would love to see it again. I have the perfect movie going partner in mind for my second viewing - my nephew - who will revel in the majesty of this film as much as I did.
