Avatar has passed The Dark Knight for #2 all-time domestic!
Avatar pulled in another $36 million this weekend, doubling up on 2nd place Legion's $18 million. Avatar has now been #1 at the box office for 6 consecutive weeks.
Avatar is only $6.9 million from passing Titanic for #1 all-time worldwide!
Avatar: Total $1836.1 million worldwide.
Titanic: Total $1842.9 million worldwide.
Avatar should pass Titanic tomorrow.
In terms of the domestic market, Avatar is $48 million behind Titanic. I predict it will surpass Titanic in the middle of next week.
Avatar: Total $552.8 million domestic.
Titanic: Total $600.8 million domestic.
