To be fair, it is kind of a "when did you stop beating your wife?" deal.
I know the site you are talking about and I figure some of those people were exposed to this craziness, but that list is like a compendium of all the craziness everyone saw rolled into one.
Sorta like asking "why do Christians forbid dancing, revere the Pope, believe the earth is 6,000 years old, get dunked in the river, worship water stains on a bridge, hold exorcisms, turn pictures around, molest children, fondle beads, praise god when they get a touchdown, refuse to go to war and say earthquakes are god's revenge for selling out to the devil just to get rid of the French"?
