^ Yup. As far as I can recall, You don't hear about a whole lot of murder charges that carry the 1st degree. Not in Canada anyway.
Weird Tid-Bit: (does not require the "Cool Story Bro" Picture)
went to my usuall beer store (the mall beside E.P. Scarlet H.S.) tonight, the women at the counter was telling me that the entire staff at the store know the accused very well. She was telling me how shocked they all are because he was "such a great guy". She went on to add "He was always in here with his wife and they always seemed very jovial and happy, I've even seen him in here with 'the girls' and I always assumed he was their father", We've even gone for beers with them over at Austin's".
She's a bit of a talker so I just said "Wow. Unreal" and left.
FWIW: I got in my truck and as I was driving home I just thought about how I've heard some people are able to lead 'double lives', One persona at work and in public and a very different persona behind closed doors at home. I don't know anything about the accused, other than he's not what I'd refer to as a "Great Guy".
I guess we'll hear all about it in the coming Years.
