Last summer, on one of the rare occasions I was using the c-train, it stopped at the city hall station and this native guy in a wheelchair tried to roll in but his chair was too wide. Myself and this lady tried to squeeze him through the door but there was no way and with the temp about 35 inside and other rush hour commuters looking a little gruff we had to leave him there, watching as he faded in the distance.
I'm not sure what else we could have done and assumed there were other trains that could accomodate the size of his chair given he seemed to be practiced at it.
The guy never said a single word the entire time. No plea. No protest as the doors closed. Just looked a little defeated in the eyes.
What else could we have done? Was he okay with another train on the system?

it was probably one of the old trains with the bar in the middle of the doorway right? more proof that they should phase out the nearly 20 year old trains already. The new ones have wide doors, no poles in the center and good ramps. sounds like you did all you could to help.
i know when im at the train, and its cold out, and i'm alone and an old train comes and i cant get on i'm like "fata fata" and then I have to wait another 10-15 mins.
