I personally believe that manufactures should be responsible for their packaging. If they have to give you a container to take your food away, then it should be biodegradable. If it ends up on the ground, then at least it should be able to take care of itself. I've seen grocery bags and coffee cups that will biodegrade in sunlight. Problem is it costs more. I would be willing to pay a little more for this, but most people im guessing would not.

A manufacturer should be responsible for the entire lifespan of a product. Our current system just passes the buck along until it is out of site and out of mind. Just because you can’t see it, does not mean that it is not causing a problem.
