Scheffler isn't a weapon for this kind of offense, losing him is tough but he'll do well somewhere else. Scheffler got a raw deal but hey this is the NFL, tough luck kid.
No one has said Orton is the next Brady. The Broncos were in a bad situation before McDaniels got here, and I'm glad he's turning the culture around. Shanahan had this city eating out of his hand on the memories of Superbowls past and his monumental one playoff win without Elway speaks to his "genius". He was a nice guy, most fans loved him, and his defenses got worse every single year.
I have faith in McDaniels and maybe his kind of coaching and attitude is what this team needs. I'm willing to give him a few years to get his staff in place, his scheme going and his culture in place. He has the pedigree, from his father to his assistant experience. Sorry for the rant, but that should clear some things up yeah?

good rant indeed, i agree he made a great move in getting rid of Jeff George jr., he realized right away that you wont win with a sulky baby like Cutler. i do also agree that Shanahan was living off past glory, he isnt the messiah that Washington fans think he is, but he does lend some credibility. Is the concensus around Denver that they will go for a high pick on a QB this year or go with Orton for a couple more years? its too bad that the Broncos finally get that impact reciever and he is a head case who is more than likely gone. I am a Chargers fan and its similiar to the Vincent Jackson situation, although i dont think he is as much of a problem as Marshall.
