-Following the 2008 NFL season, Marvin Harrison asked for and was granted his release by the Indianapolis Colts.
-Was involved in a shooting in his home town of Phila soon after his release.
-There was little media exposure to the actual information until recently.
-He was witnessed with one of his employee's beating a man in a back street, then having the incident escalate to a shoot out where the identified shooter was harrison.
-The witness chose not to testify due to the community presence Harrison had and did not know the victim intimately, but casually.
-The shooter (harrison) was not arrested but sued in civil court later.
-The victim recovered from the incident but was later murdered.
-The witness was then tried on petty drug charges and ended up in prison to take Harrision to civil court.
