I'm speaking globally and was more speaking in terms of value of life as it relates to overpopulation. If we want to bring that idea in relation to Canada, think of it this way: Healthcare expenditure is noww more than 50% of the provincial bubdget. Though the exact numbers escape me, it was somewhere in the 20-25% range not that long ago. Not only that, but it is growing exponentially. At what point is the cost too much? When do we say it's too expensive, and who decides?
NB The above post I made was more addressing the "who should die" part of the post I quoted as it's a subject I am somewhat passionate about. The more I think about it, the more healthcare has very little to do with overpopulation.
