The only reason Mcguire is getting/has got so much flack is because he was the best player taking steroids. Any player in that era that you can suspect of being on juice, most likely was. However, it's Mark Mcguire who's name has been forever tied to the word 'steriods.'
Point is, although it doesn't clear him one bit, many, many players were on steroids, haven't even been questioned, and the ones who have been have told lies to cover their butts. At least Mcguire has come out and admitted it now. Maybe now A-rod can tell us all what the 'regrettable' thing he did that he doesn't want to talk about was. Or maybe Sammy Sooser knows enough English to admit he took steroids. Or maybe Rogers Clemons, Giambi, Zaun, Vaughn, Glaus and Tejada can all admit too. It's been just as long since these guys first took steriods...
