70 in a 50 zone (20 km/hr over the limit) will net you 3 demerits and a $124 fine. If you plead to 68 in a 50 (18 km/hr over the limit) you will still get 3 demerits and a $113 fine. If, however, you could plead to 65 in a 50 (15 km/hr over the limit) you would get 2 demerits and an $89 fine.
