If you admitted to the officer that they were tinted, you might as well pay up. If you didn't, then you can just say to him in court "Prove they are tinted." Google how to fight a ticket. There are plenty of ways to get off. Are there demerits associated with tinted windows? If so it may be worth it to consider hiring a traffic ticket disputer like POINTS.
Never tell police any more than your name and where you live, especially don't admit guilt.

Tailed by a cop on the Deerfoot a few months ago and then pulled over. He claimed I was doing 130 and I was adamant I wasn't. I ended up getting a lecture, not because I was nice, just because I did not admit guilt and it would have been work for him to prosecute.
