If you squeeze the time line of the universe/earth into a calendar year (Jan 1, 12:00am = big bang --> Dec 31 11:59pm = right now), humans have been around for only about 10 seconds. Humans with advanced technology/industrialization capabilities have only been around for less than 1 second of this hypothetical year.
If anybody actually believes that humans are not capable of and currently harming/changing our planet's environment, they are sorely mistaken. After all these years of science and education it is astonishing that anyone actually believes that everything is ok. Carl Sagan must be rolling in his grave.
