one time my dad, bro and i were eating at Treasures of China in chinatown. and when we were getting food, at the buffet, there was a white cop there, and my dad insisted he go first as he looked in a hurry with his styrofoam box for take out. and the cop suddenly says "lay seen" (you first). and my dad laughed got into a whole conv.
turns out the cop went to do missionary duties in hong kong for a while.
