Agreed, that would be annoying. And I think the novelty of 3D would wear off really quickly. I haven't tried any 3D technology in years, but unless the viewing experience makes you feel like you are in the arena, I'm not sure a pop up book type experience would really enhance anything. People are just getting into the HD world, I think that should be good enough for now.
