It's too bad you think that way. Personally that's what happened to me and it hasn't been artificial at all. Nothing has been more real to me, and it's affected absolutely every aspect of my life and how I live it..
Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you're ready to listen to God and do things His way, and one could certainly say Tiger has hit rock bottom.
However, if Tiger changes religions just to try and get sponsors and fan support back and make people think he's "changed" then yes it'll be artificial and it won't make a difference in how he lives his life.
Also I think it's a poor move by Brit Hume to suggest this publicly. It just seems really hypocritical to say when there's a lot of so-called "Christians" who lead a similar lifestyle to Tiger, and there's a lot of Buddhists who don't make the poor decisions that Tiger did.
I'm not saying Tiger doesn't need to find God. I'm saying that to say it publicly like that, comes across wrong on so many levels.
