Freemont is worth checking out. We did it on our 1st trip and haven't done it since, mostly due to other stuff we want to do, but we'll probably make a stop at Freemont Street on our next trip. We probably weren't there for very long. We checked out the street, it was nothing too special, we didn't gamble at any of the casinos there, but we walked into a couple of them. Nothing special. For many people, the main attraction of going to Freemont is the light show. It is worth a trip.
As for Cirque. It really depend on your tastes. I have yet to year anything good about Kriss Angel's Believe at Luxor, so I would certainly stay away from that one. Zumanity at New York New York is something that you would only want to see if you are very comfortable with very sexual presentations. A friend went to see Love at Mirage but wasn't impressed because they were expecting more of the Beatles hits to be played.
I've only seen Mystere at Treasure Island, and I enjoyed it. I've also heard that you cannot go wrong with O at Bellagio or Ka at MGM Grand. I've also heard that La Reve at Wynn is a good show. It is not a Cirque brand though, so keep that in mind if you are only looking for a show branded by Cirque Du Soliel.
Don't buy your tickets ahead of time. You'll always find tickets, even the day of the show. In fact, you can go to Tix4Tonight and get discounted prices, and still get good seats. When we saw Mystere we went to the box office located outside of TI, right on the strip, and in front of the booth was a lady giving out 2 for 1 tickets, a better discount than what we could have had at Tix 4 Tonight.
